get his label to push the issue for him because of ownership issues. I think Springsteen could go the same route. There was a recent article that explained this issue (masters vs publishing rights ownership).
I really think that Spotify is one big artist away from making major changes. I'm really hoping that some other big-name artist or more than one will join in.
Now, the one aspect that seems to have less impact in all of this is the sound quality issue because Young is right about that. One would think that artists that care about the sound quality of the music would raise a bit of ire but apparently getting more people to listen is more important than the quality of sound.
Another aspect is that this is also the perfect opportunity for musicians to push for a better Spotify payout, too.
I kind of wish that Tidal had a free version like Spotify. Amazon's free music is quite limited.
