Off the topic Eric but I wanted to get your thoughts on what happened on the vote for Prop A in Austin. This was the bill that wanted to add back the funding that had been removed by the Austin City Council for the Police budget. This was resoundingly defeated by the voters in Austin. It came out that George Soros had funded the Anti Prop A to the tune of $500,000. No biggie to me he would not have swayed my vote if I had voted. Austin has experienced a higher crime recently rate for sure. Two big things come to mind with a higher crime rate, property values decrease and tourism(6th street and ACL Fest/SXSW etc), both of which would be negatively impacted by this. I'm not affected because I live in Round Rock where property values have skyrocked which is good for me because I own rental properties. My questions are:
1. How do the Police really feel about this?
2. What is the motivation of the voters?
3. What is George Soros motivation?
4. What is your personal take on this?
Thanks Eric
