He's not a policy guy and it does not much matter his views on Snowden. You would find a lot of guys, particularly in his age range, that worked in intelligence that don't think much of Snowden. In a lot of ways, that's a poison well and it can't sit well that Snowden lives in Russia.

Honestly, I don't think that Mr. Nance thinks much of Russia in terms of their power...they do have nukes but overall they have the GDP of Italy and so don't much have the funds to compete with the US or most of Europe. Which frankly is the motivation of Mr. Putin in screwing with us all.

Putin is, like Trump, concerned mostly with Putin and keeping himself rich and powerful. This is why Putin had such influence over Trump and Trump saw him as a hero and friend. Create that small circle of oligarchs that run everything and get filthy rich doing so and this is far better than a democracy to a clown like Trump. Putin gave him the roadmap, which in Trump's case had to be greatly simplified due to his general stupidity, but he got it.

The primary thing that I think people should take out of Mr. Nance's talk is that he clearly explains where Trump and the Republicans were/are heading. Trump was mostly, a useful idiot. Useful to Putin and useful to Republicans that see their grip on power eroding that see Putin's path as one that will leave them unchallenged and this is far more important than democracy to them. This is why so many Republicans are so heavily invested in making it harder for people to vote in the US. They know they are not in the majority so the only solution for them is to follow Putin's lead. We have people in the media here that sit horrified as most of the Republicans sit in silence as their party members, state and federal, try to eliminate voting rights state by state.

Why would they speak up? They want to see if it works and Trump remains the most popular Republican in the country. 75% of Republican voters want recounts in the states Trump lost  (and only in the states he lost), and 51% BELIEVE Trump should be reinstated as president.

We are living in total insanity here.

It's always got to be an inside job and so the insiders here are these elected Republicans that literally spew Putin's propaganda verbatim. FOX News has taken to just using direct quotes from Putin.

We live in a time of complete madness in the United States and it bleeds over into the rest of the world. My take was Americans need to grasp what Nance is saying because it is real.

In the grand scheme Snowden is a fart in a windstorm. He's not particularly important and so whatever Nance thinks of him or his predicament is not really important.
