I don't recall where I first heard about Rick Broussard and his band, Two Hoots and A Holler. I have a few CDs, and though I really don't connect often with his style, a few tunes really hit me, and this one does it the most. I don't know if Rick is still playing, or alive, as there's not a lot of current news, but this song embodies so many of the qualities that I seek in music: passion, heartfelt lyrics, energy, and attitude. I'm guess there weren't even a hundred folks in this venue, but at this moment, on this stage, there was some magic.
