I think people have been looking closely at why Trump is firing people in top positions right now. The reasons pondered tend to be as mundane as revenge, angry at Esper for not backing him gassing peaceful Americans among other things, to something far more sinister, like he wants to go out starting a war or get someone that will back him attacking Americans with our military if he can't steal the election in the courts. Some bizarre idea of using the military to turn the White House into a private bunker so he can stay...not happening.

I personally think it is more simple and obvious. He and Jared and some of the sleazy Republicans have wanted access to classified materials and he thought if he gave people like Esper, Haspel, and Wray their jobs they would give him access to all the classified info he and other scum in his orbit want. This has not happened. So, the firing spree to me is about greed (always his biggest motivator) and probably also to Trump, revenge. Trump hates our country, with a passion. Which is a very strange thing to say about an American president. However, with him it is true and he believes now that our country has betrayed him by not reelecting him. Absurd, sure but this is how he thinks. 

Trump is going to face all kinds of issues as he leaves office. Massive debt, criminal cases against him and his company, and he is already trying to find a way to con the 71 million people that voted for him into giving him money, in part with a claim he will be running again in 2024 and of course contributing to his defense fund. Just think if each of the 71 million sent him $10.00...that would total an insane $710 million. If you  think he is not thinking about this, think again. 

However, if he can fire all of the people he wants to fire and replace them with his toadies in the next couple of months and have those toadies loot the Pentagon, the CIA, and the FBI for all the secrets and classified materials he and Jared and the scumbag section of the Republican party have wanted...well...he can use all of that info to profit and trade for his own gain. And if you don't think he is thinking about that...think again. 

People in the Pentagon, the CIA, and the FBI surely know what he is up to. Also as I understand it when a president leaves office he continues to get a copy of the daily PDB that the current president gets. This has always been done so if a former president can offer advice or knows something that can be of assistance he can offer that to the sitting president. We've never had a president that would sell the daily PDB to a foreign enemy...but now we do. It will be on Putin's desk every morning if Trump has access to it. Not to mention anybody else  that wants it. I found it interesting that Trump would not read his PDBs but Kushner made sure to read his copy and this will probably be how this continues to work if Trump has access to them. Kushner will probably mine them for data to sell, while Trump plays golf and attempts to continue to hold his rallies...or flees to Dubai.
