The reports are Trump wanted out of the hospital because he had no control over his campaign from there and had to rely on people like Pence to hit the trail for him. Pence generates no excitement. In fact he probably would just encourage people to take a nap. It does look like the entire Republican election machine is in a kamikaze dive to their doom at the moment. The whole thing is coming apart with an outbreak of Covid removing multiple people from being available during the most crucial month of a campaign. Not to mention keep an eye on if Bill Barr comes down with Covid as he was right in the midst of and had his face inches from several mask-less people that had it at that Rose Garden event.

If Barr goes down with Covid that removes Trump's ultimate weapon on election day.

The reports on how Trump actually is are conflicting. Some people are saying he should not have left the hospital and that he is nowhere near alright. I thought he looked OK in what I glimpsed on the news but then people started posting closer looks at him where he appears to be laboring to breathe.

So, honestly who knows. One guy breaks it down in terms of how things went for Herman Cain where he caught Covid, the doctors said he was improving, he noted he was feeling much better, the doctors announced he was better...then three days later he died. The process played out over a few weeks. Trump is still early in his battle. I would imagine it would be bad for him to go back out on the campaign trail not to mention all the people he would be around. However, they say Trump could push himself with steroids and oxygen to keep going but those things would provide short term boosts and with his bad heart he could end up killing himself. I would not put it past the guy to attempt this. His recent comments about Covid being no big deal were troubling.
