Reg,
I was a little surprised that you bothered to go "toe to toe" with Buford, so to speak, but you did draw him out, and although I don't care if he is Jim, and maybe just a "normal" guy deep inside, the nature of his posts was NOT funny, so I don't buy the gag idea. That's a pretty poor way of trying to pull a joke.
Thanks to your tenacity however, this will hopefully put an end to this kind of crap here.
Let me just say one other thing, and this is for all to ponder. I checked the old archives, originally to find the original "Jim" post that David apparently found so funny. I didn't find it, but what did amaze, and somewhat sadden me, was the apparent loss of a vast audience/group of people that originally used to post here, and have not been heard of for YEARS. Again, that is NOT good. We need to start anew, if this is going to be anything other than old friends just chatting, and we can and should do that with our own private Emails. Let's continue to discuss, provoke and focus on the music, hopefully...get back to our "roots". David was our mutual inspiration, and we need to look at that. Was it just the music that got us involved, the emotions and sentiments behind the music, his name, the cigarettes he smokes ...or whatever. Maybe that funny "horsey" face (hey, don't look at me...David said it himself somewhere).
Gene
