The conversation I had was longer but the sentence that hit me the hardest, and it went right along with the idea that for many Trump voters he was their "grenade", was when he quickly answered that his support for Trump was based on his willingness to "destroy" the country. I mean things led to this in the conversation as I pointed out fact after fact and item after item that showed how destructive Trump is and then he finally spoke that sentence.

I intentionally had not used the word "destructive" instead just asking things like "Do you agree with that?" and "Did you like when he did that?" but destruction was obviously what we were discussing.

Obviously, I can't say every Trump supporter wants to see this country destroyed but there are certainly a group of them that want this. I think they see it as Trump will throw the country back into some sort of dystopian wild wild west where all you have to do is outgun your opponent and then you can just take what they have. I think they believe this is the "movement" Trump is leading. This is why even when he does destructive things they cheer because he is just moving us closer to that moment of the total collapse of the United States and then the only "rule of law" will be the gun you own and that you stand with Trump.

This is obviously not "America First" stuff...it's "Trump First" stuff and their loyalties are with him not to our country. This does explain completely though why his destruction of our nation and all his open dishonesty does not bother them. They see it as he is burning the entire nation down and that's what some of these people want.

If tomorrow Trump said he wanted all American flags destroyed and the new flag of our nation would be a big red flag with a gold T surrounded by black in the center of it...they would have the bonfires roaring with Old Glory. There is a faction of Trump supporters that have pledged their allegiance to this crazed moron.

So, I don't think this guy sees any of the things you mention nor does he think of them. He thinks in terms of "everybody is out to get him" and Trump may not be doing things that make his life better but he is destroying the lives of everybody so that there will be nothing left and we will need to fight it out in the streets.

Bottom line is if you don't believe you can fix it then the easiest and best option is to destroy it. These people do not believe it can be fixed so their choice is destruction. Obviously, they have no idea how to fix the things they believe are ruining their lives but they certainly know how to destroy things. So, for them, every time Trump destroys another piece of our nation, it is a victory.

I do not know what percentage of Trump supporters are in this camp but they must be aware this camp exists. If they are aware of it, I wonder how they feel about it. Trump is hugely appealing to the "destroy it all" crowd.
