Peter can use whatever I write here however he would like, I fully trust and respect him so no restrictions on how he uses whatever I might say here. I understand the superdelegate idea but in terms of how it should be used...well...they are using it in the opposite way they should use it.

When Hillary ran while under federal investigation what the superdelegates should have done is they all should have come out and said they would NOT support her because she was under federal investigation.   I mean for the love of all that's holy that is a time when you should use that power to say "No, we don't want you running because if they find you guilty at any point that's a disaster."  Did they do that? No, of course not. Instead they threw all their support behind her, told people like Biden to say out of the way, and ran what they thought was a bunch of tomato cans against her.

Turned out people actually liked Sanders and so he was not the tomato can they thought he was.  This led to the bitterness within the party and it was clear how dumb it was.

This time out after watching Biden have horrible showings they panicked and decided "We got to get Bloomberg in!" which honestly is a total travesty but he has loads of cash and said he would entertain the idea of making Clinton his VP so...he's perfect they think.

Horrible strategy but these people that run the party right now all come from the Clinton/Republocrat side of things. The main reason they prefer Trump to Sanders is Sanders could get rid of most of them hence a power shift in the party. Trump is better for them in this regard because he is a Hillary like figure that while they would need to give him another 4 years he also is a walking advertisement for eventually electing a Democrat.
