I like Elvis. I recall once many years ago I was at a festival where Van Morrison was scheduled to headline and for some reason at the last minute he could not make it, his flight was delayed or cancelled or something. 'Obviously the crowd was disappointed but stepping onstage instead, alone with just his guitar, was one Elvis Costello. For the next two hours he made people forget all about missing Van. He was just incredible.

I always want to contribute something musically here because I know that's what brought us all here in the first place. I just most of the time don't know what to contribute. I mostly listen to older records. I stumble upon things here and there but I think Eric and Peter and probably others are searching out and finding new music more than I am. Plus I have never been able to escape the grip of blues, jazz, and old school soul and R&B. That's mainly my happy place and most of that does not really bring "new" to the table but does, to me, bring sizzling hot stuff quite often. Plus you can't beat this stuff if you go out for a night at a club.

So, here's a truly awesome bit of music that, yes, sounds like it could have come off an old Delaney and Bonnie album...but my god, what's wrong with that?
