Just read an article from Spin online about women artists that should be nominated for the "Rock and Roll" Hall of Fame.  

It makes me sick how the administrators of the sham of a "Rock and Roll" Hall of Fame keep nominating and inducting people who are clearly not "Rock and Roll."  At the core I know it is just about one fucking thing - MONEY.

I mean, Salt N Pepa are NOT "rock and roll."  Whitney Houston is nt "rock and roll." Loretta Lynn is not "rock and roll" (though I do love Loretta Lynn).  And for Sheryl Crow to be inducted on the first time around while John Mellencamp was not, is pure fucking bullshit.  

One would thing that Jann Wenner in the past (he has now moved on) would have been more discriminating because he was sort of there from the start of the counter culture. 

One last thing - why the fuck they just don't create branches of the thing for music beyond "rock and roll" (Pop Branch of the RR HOF) instead of entering people like Janet Jackson, Madonna and other non-rock and rollers.  

I don't know about others, but I have a great reverence for true rock and rollers and to allow non-rock and rollers to be characterized as rock and rollers when they are not is pure bullshit! 

And believe me, I get the disagreement on artists that either could be rock and rollers or might not be in the eyes of individuals and understand when disputed folks are inducted, but not fucking pop stars or obvious non-rock and rollers.
