That was time well spent, heathcliffe. Many thanks. Meditation and mindfulness have generated a lot of proponents of late and given the hyper-stimulated times we're living in, I think they provide an oasis of calm and enhanced wellbeing.
The discussion of social-emotional learning echoes with what I'm learning in school. In fact, we had another presentation of it today as we're carving out time to teach it to our students. So many children have had trauma in their lives and we know how these events impede learning, and can tragically alter the trajectory of lives. I'm sure these conversations will continue as there's so much work to do. I like how Daniel Goleman mentioned his mother's emphasis on kindness. I had that same mother.
