America…we deserve Trump.

I don't claim to be a genius, but I have seen this coming since I was in elementary school. We were taught that we were the smartest, strongest, and greatest country in the world.

When you ask a child why we are the greatest, they respond saying, “Freedom. Equal Rights. Democracy. Opportunity.” We didn't know other countries had these rights as well.

In fact, we didn't know much about other countries. When you're number 1, you don't need to consider others.

We give men like Christopher Columbus- a violent man who enslaved islanders- his own holiday for discovering America. We disregard his atrocious behavior. We reward greed.

We celebrate Thanksgiving, recreating a fictitious event, and credit the pilgrims for making friends with the Native Americans. We ignore how we brutally destroyed a race of people and pushed the original Americans out of their own country. We reward greed.

We were taught that the other countries were insignificant as world leaders. We had all the weapons, bombs, military, and technology to we needed to annihilate any country that dared impede on our greatness.

We were brainwashed to become American narcissists.

The country's response to the horrible attack on 9/11 confirmed my beliefs. We targeted an enemy and screamed, “Just nuke ’em all!”

Because we could.

Instead of learning that we weren't the only valuable people worthy of sharing this earth, we learned we owned this earth.

Instead of teaching acceptance and tolerance, we were taught we had the right to bear arms. We had the right to enslave others. We had the right to hurt those people whose skin color did not match white. Because if you ain't white, you ain't right. We had the right to oppress women. We had the right to marry off little girls only 10-13 years old to dirty old men in every single state of our country because an being an unwed mother was worse than child rape.

We pledged allegiance to a flag. We stood for the national anthem. We did this as one nation under God.

We fill our days watching reality tv where everyone is out for themselves at the expense of making others look foolish and inferior. We enjoy power. We are addicted to it. We are greedy. We are entitled. We are what we were founded upon. Our ideals and goals haven't changed.

We have been preparing for Trump since this country was born.

And we finally got what was coming to us.
