No, that's not a reference to any of Marc's posts, it's the title of the newly released Doug Kenney/National Lampoon bio on Netflix. It will expose a new generation to Doug’s sometimes sophomoric, sometimes sophisticated body of work. It’s not laugh-out-loud funny by any means. It’s a loving portrait and history lesson of the magazine and all that it spawned (radio show, high school yearbook parody, Lemmings stage show, SNL, Animal House, Caddyshack etc.). DK was a funny, whip smart, driven, sweet, twisted and tortured guy. Perhaps for a few of you, it will bring back some nice memories of the truly bizarre jokes, gonzo humor, and spot-on parodies that warped a generations' sensibilities! Kind of fun seeing how close the cast came to portraying the innumerable assorted players and hangers-on (Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, John Belushi, Rodney Dangerfield, to name but a few).
