I spent Thursday evening in Boston and attended Sam Harris's Waking Up Podcast (the road version). Most
of his conversations with an MIT physicist and a philosopher went over my head but a few things stuck! And
it was cool seeing Steven Pinker sitting just a few rows away! Here's a relatively recent podcast that I highly recommend:https://www.samharris.org/podcast/item/defending-the-republicMy wife and I just finished watching the series Halt and Catch Fire on Netflix. It really grew on us! Watch it!And I'll close with a Richard Thompson video from an old Letterman show. I saw RT a month or so back and it
was inspiring: a real triple threat of playing, singing, and those dark lyrics! Listen to it!!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gLGQAhjPnoAs for writing, I always look forward to Andrew Sullivan's latest effort in New York Magazine. Read it!http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/01/andrew-sullivan-time-to-resist-excesses-of-metoo.htmlI've found that I really have to make a concerted effort at times from the onslaught of all things Trump. Don't
allow yourselves to fall into that morass of hate and ignorance. Stay informed for sure, but let's not be
cheated out of the things that bring us joy, community, and knowledge! I'm here for you brother, Reg! Just
say the word and Legal Seafood: The Sequel, will happen!Peter T.
