"I believe Trump knows his days are numbered, that he knows how the Russian/collusion investigation will turn out."

It seems what is happening right now are discussions about how to get Trump out before a full blown impeachment process begins are in full swing. There is a major issue here they seem to be attempting to avoid and that is subpoenas starting to fly and people having to testify under oath. Trump can not be subjected to having to testify or to going through this scrutiny. He can't hold up under it nor can they get him on a script...he just does not have the mental capacity to stick to one. Particularly under pressure. Despite the fact that he was labeled a "strongman" and people voted for him because they thought he would arrive in DC and bully everybody in Washington...the truth is the man is a weakling and crybaby that is pretty much everybody's puppet.

So, here is the decision I believe has been made. Trump needs to be removed before anything happens that allows formal charges to be filed against him. If that happens a lot of people are screwed and if Trump ever has to testify himself under oath...it would be a spectacle and danger to far too many people...and Trump would collapse and begin to ramble in ways that would cause unbelievable damage.

They know that they can't allow this to happen. Hell, even Putin appears willing to cooperate in removing Trump at this stage.

So, it does appear that they have come to a decision. Trump will suddenly resign due to illness. Roger Stone weirdly has hinted that this will be Alzheimer's disease and is pumping it as a "conspiracy" but Stone likely knows this is the route they plan to take and just wants to fire up the lunatic fringe that worships the Donald. They will believe Stone, that it is a conspiracy and that this is how they "got" Trump.

Funny, that the illness will actually be a cover story but Trump, I am guessing, will be fully on-board with it because he will also see it as the best way out for him...and yes, I do think he wants out.

We appear to be sitting on the verge of something really big happening and oddly the president is about to be sent out of the country...this is looking like a very opportune moment for "it" to happen.

Trump himself is, at the moment, unhinged and should not have made the huge mistake of threatening Comey on twitter with "tapes" of their conversation...as Comey quickly fired back that he too made a record of the conversation and so "If you have the tapes, Donald, bring them on."
