Why did you put the word "inferior" in quotes (as if to attribute it to the writer) as I didn't see it used in his piece? I re-read the NY Times piece again after reading your post and I fail to see the author in the same light as you do. I know this board is left-leaning but I'd love to hear if anyone agrees with your assessment of the author's attitude. I thought he presented his thoughts in a fair and balanced manner.
