I am still on speaking terms with all of my right leaning friends BUT...None of them support Trump. Perhaps I live in vacuum spending most of my
time in Massachusetts and New York but I just don't know anybody that is
Republican that actually likes Trump or thinks he is a good idea for the
party. I was in New York last week sitting down with some friends that
are long time Republicans and they hate Trump. A couple of them were
actually supporting Bernie Sanders during his run. Now, they are backing
Hillary.I was invited to a party in Pennsylvania where there was going to be some
Trump supporters. I was being encouraged to come because my friends
wanted me to get into a debate with these people to see what might
happen. However, I was not able to get to Pennsylvania the weekend of the
party so...no Trump confrontation for me. I do have an acquaintance that actually knows and has met the Donald and
supposedly had some business dealings with him. I have not had a
conversation with him in some time though...not over Trump...we just have
not been in touch. He, like many people that have met Trump it seems,
thinks Trump is a great guy. My guess is he probably fully supports his
run for president due to this fact. I doubt that in his business dealings or general meetings prior to this
presidential run Trump was running off at the mouth about politics or any
of the garbage he spews on the campaign trail. Personally, I don't think
what he has done was a good idea for him...he is not suited for political
interaction and he now has badly labeled himself by getting out there and
saying what he has said. I don't really think that was a good idea for
the Trump "brand."
