"Notice the ring" is my favourite on the Chris Isaak CD too - the desire and temptation; the wishful thinking - love it! I've also got the Teenage Fanclub greatest hits - funny how there are links between us all other than DB. Makes me think I should try a whole lot more of the recommendations, if only I could get hold of them...I've been listening to a lot of Black-eyed Susans - a Melbourne band. Their new CD, Shangri-La, is worth a listen. Saw them perform in Perth last weekend - great! Their support act was Glenn Richards, singer from Augie March (another Melbourne band that shares a keyboard player with the Susans). One of the lines in a song that stuck in my brain was "love is just a glorified screw that doesn't hold anything together" - rather liked that for some reason...
