Kevin (from Arizona):My wife and I had just arrived in Toronto at about 3:30pm for
a 7:30pm show --- and were looking for a place to eat. We
got to the gates of the MOLSON AMPHITHEATRE, which is in
this really neat waterfront park.Obviously, I did not drive up there (2.5 hours) knowing that
the lights were out. Now, there was about 100 or 200 people that were there that
early in the day --- it was a beautiful day 85 degrees and
sunny --- and we talked peronally to about thirty people who
were all very suspicious of what was going on. Additionally,
there were some very peculiar spiritual vibes in the air.Now as to your calling them STEELY BLAND --- my closest
friend does not enjoy them either --- but they are one of my
and Paula's favorites. The power ended up being off in my neighborhood for two
and a half hours --- from 4:15pm to about 6:45pm --- which
was before we got home. The clocks were all off two and a half
hours --- the VCR's and so forth. However, my computer
network stayed up, because I have everything running on the
APC UPS power back ups.I called the concert line this morning, and a decision will be
made on Monday morning as to the rescheduled date, or
outright refunds. Fagen and Becker have off nine days at the
beginning of September to rest between tour legs --- my
guess it may be within that time. All in all it was a bummer.P n' P = KDB
