And let's not forget the most essential player of all: the parents. Thankfully, some parents still make their children their priority. They spend real time with their kids, talking, sharing, and demonstrating what love is all about. They set limits. They say NO, and of course they say yes at times. They don't try to befriend their children. They limit screen time. Personally, I say, don't let that damn video in the house, it's insidious. Once in the home, it often crowds out much more productive activities. Lastly, I've seen too many parents sacrifice their child's wellbeing for a large house, new cars, and other shallow displays of affluence. They need to put their ego on hold and do the right thing. Can you tell I had a tough day with the kids today? I could venture into other areas that need tending to, boy could I, but I need to recharge for tomorrow.
