In the new GQ there is a quarter page piece on how a reporter was "taught" to listen to music by music guru Rick Rubin. This just kind of falls in line with the passing of Lou Reed and his short interview about music and sound. Rubin had this guy listen to certain songs on his sound system (what a wonder something like that would be). One song the guy raved about that Rubin made him listen to was Simon and Garfunkel's Scarborough Fair/Canticle. Well, I do have to comment, yep, it is something else when paid attention to. It does sound really great with snippets of musical instruments fluttering here and there and all around.....
