Not that you guys will read this but.............
If the rollout of the website is any indication of the healthcare system
to
come, we are in trouble.
I personally spent the last 2 1/2 years developing and implementing on
online
Healthcare Enrollment System writing every line of the web code so I know a
litle on this topic. Also I've spent the last 20 years in IT rolling out
systems.
From the testimony coming from the ACA Website contractors, they have
revealed that the site was never tested end to end. Have I been in that
situation? Yes once when I worked at Dell, we had a clueless project manager
that was incompetent and should have been fired and we delivered a product
that had no real requirements and Zero end to end testing done. I was a
disaster.
So Barry's solution is to bring in the pros and have it up in 6 weeks.
Rule numero uno on an IT project, never ever ever throw resources at the end
of a project trying to fix issues. It doesn't work, in fact it is counter
productive. There is a saying among programmers and that is nine women can't
make a baby in a month. That is to say this won't be fixed in 6 weeks. Not
even close.
Frankly I can't watch Hannity anymore. Same for Orielly. You are right
they
gin up the same talking point crap over and over.
One show I've started taping lately is Crossfire. At least these guys
are civil. Newt keeps it toned down as well as Van Jones. Hell I even
liked watching Howard Dean the other day.
Lifes one big whatever anyway......
