Not much better here. After our recent election, it appears the Senate will be dictated to by a bloc group made up of the Palmer United Party (run by Clive Palmer - eccentric billionaire who is building a full size replica of the Titanic and a golf course with life size dinosaurs) and an individual from the Motoring Enthusiasts Party who was previously unemployed and who got some miniscule percntage of the vote but won due to complex preference deals. We also have a Hunters and Shooters or is it Fishing senator? - it's beyond me.

After having a hung parliament last time around where the balance of power was held by a few independents and an opposition that opposed any legislation on principle, we now have a new government that will also be hamstrung by a different opposition and group of individuals. Sigh...
