Went from Lubbock, Texas to Belfast, Northern Ireland while tooling around town today, Reg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTpHctk1rMs Joe Ely, during his glory days!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_R5yqDf6-M Stiff Little Fingers, all those years ago.
Sorry that you're not in the best mental state, Reg. Mrs. Peter T. and I can relate as we're
coping with empty nest syndrome, having dropped our one and only off at college last
Monday. Suddenly, we have all this time on our hands while we wonder, "Gee, what do you
think Ally is up to?", and I'm sure she's not the least bit concerned with what is occupying our
time. And nor should she.As to your movie kick, we just saw the French film, Amour, a much-touted movie about an
elderly husband's caring for his dying wife. I wouldn't call it entertaining, but it was powerfully
acted and, knowing something about the subject from my late, great parents, I think it
brilliantly depicted the utter devotion that many couples are fortunate to have nurtured over
the course of their lifetime. We also really liked Matthew McConnaughey's recent movie, Mud. Very, very solid story and
performances. The Jackie Robinson biography, 42, was pretty good, but a bit paint-by-numbers at times.
