I know the topic of budget deficits isn't everyone's cup of tea. I've always been a bit
interested in it, even read a few books on the subject (I'm actually not THAT boring). Anyway,
if I was George Soros, or someone else with deep pockets, I'd put together a 30 second
advertisement that includes the graph that's shown on the link. And with respect to that
green line showing a slight uptick in projected deficits, I bet it could be bent significantly
downward if the GOP would work with the president on a grand bargain of entitlement cuts
in exchange for greater tax revenues from the upper income folks. I'd even be pleased to
contribute more. A lot could be accomplished if the other side wasn't controlled by a bunch
