It's not that I love the gun. It is just a tool. I love freedom though and I don't like legislation that that is designed to take that away from law abiding citizens.

That bill would have done nothing to stop what happened in Newtown again. It was very poorly written (by people that have an agenda, but not a clue and operating on emotion) and the smart Senators knew it.
