Hello, guitar twangers n' bangers...try this tuning, I stumbled upon, looking for another tuning.  Altered strings are tuned DOWNwards (reading from Left to Right starting with LOW E).

I started with DADGAD (which is a universally explored tuning), moved to DADEAD (like yeah, man  da dead..get it?), then advanced to EADEAD, which is the one I'd like to get some feedback on. (Just leave your low E right where it is).

Hint: focus on the A tone dominance here, I mean A major as the root chord.  It is actually a suspended sound, but very cool and resonant.  You can trip out very easily just strumming, or finger plucking this position.  Put your index finger on the 4th string,(D), at the 2nd fret in THIS tuning (another way of looking at it, is the 3rd string from the low E), strum or pluck across the remaining strings and you get a beautiful resonant A sus (two A's and two E's plus the 6th string which is now an open D (the 4th of A)).   Now use your imagination with some bass runs using the 6 th string (still the LOW E ) and many doors will open.  I'd suggest using the middle finger or thumb for this and try fretting the low E string at the 2nd, 3rd and 5 th frets alternatingly to produce some very pleasing chord sounds.

The rest will emerge from your heart and soul quite naturally, if you have ANY musical inclination at all, and I believe many of you here are extremely talented in the musical domain (maybe we can include Baerwald...I dunno).  You might forget all household chores, the time of day, or even eating, once you get immersed in this tuning (sorry, all things in life must come with warnings).    I've found blues riffs, minor classical sounding modes, and unfortunately that Windham Hill banal a la William Ackerman sound with this (I do like his playing, but I don't wish to sound like him).

Your thoughts, results, impressions...I eagerly await!

Once again, thanks again guys and gals for your very heartfelt and loving support during my time of pain and need.   I'm healing.  Dan J thanks you from the skies above (he told me so).
