I took the boys to see the latest stop-motion animation film ParaNorman last weekend. We were excited since my younger brother is now on staff at Laika and had a significant hand in both Coraline and this one (plus Here Be Monsters, up next). We enjoyed the humor and unexpected sweetness at the end of the story. And Jon Brion's score was truly wonderful. You know it's a good one when your 6-year-old is humming the theme to himself four hours later. Sure beats watching political conventions.
