Check out Le Hotel Jolie in Brooklyn and the Z Hotel in Long Island City.Maybe the Pointe Plaza, the NU or the Condor in Brooklyn, too. There's also a Super Eight in Bklyn.Check all of these out on tripadvisor.comI really like Le Jolie and there is free bottled water, breakfast and a nice staff. Am trying out the Z in April. It also has a free shuttle in and out of NYC and is only 2 subway stops from Grand Central Station.Just can't get too excited about your staying in Jersey but maybe that's
a unreasonable prejudice.There is also a decent and reasonably priced NYC Hotel, The Gershwin. I haven't stayed there but one of my sons has. http://www.gershwinhotel.com/
