I'm not all that concerned with his chances of winning. I might like it if he did; I might not.

To me, his candidacy is important--but not because I feel all swoony about him and want to march behind. I don't.

What I'm concerned with is that he has things to say about foreign and economic policy that cannot otherwise get a moment's notice in the media.

He certainly was asleep at the switch on those newsletters. Now, how about this relentless march toward war with Iran that no one wants to back off from? For example? Can we possibly get a rational, national dialog going about that?

Probably not, but somebody, it seems to me, is making the attempt, and for that I'm thankful.

And I hope it's clear that I respect your view as well--I just don't happen to share it. But that's pretty much the norm for me. I can't think of anyone with whom I'm completely in agreement.
