I guess I've been off the board for a while as I just saw these today. I'm reading Katie's emails at my desk at work and nearly sobbing at the human level in all of this. Looking back at the way the anniversary was politicized, I'm happy to have been able to read this, which took me back to how I felt on that day far more than any other news coverage has.

The events of September 2001 created very complex reactions, at a personal, regional, national, and international level, and it's surprising that after 10 years I still haven't been able to reconcile my feelings about an event that I only observed and didn't participate in.

Ed, you've got a remarkable daughter, you should be very proud.
