I guess what I love about The Beatles is the totality of the foursome, as opposed to the ascendancy of John and Paul. I can see what you're saying, but I don't at all mind the maudlin character of the lyrics to "Guitar," nor the bit about Harrison grabbing or snatching phrases from here and there--and I think your feeling for the line about the sweeping may come down to your having a vastly different experience of that line from my own. So yeah, I will continue to knock myself out with this one, but you're of course free not to.I do appreciate your unabashed response.
