Icon Sorry MB, this documentary has some shame in it for all of us....

When I state this, I am not exaggerating - of all the documentaries I have ever seen, this documentary is one of the most powerful and disturbing things I have yet to see.

Unfortunately, it is a reflection of America and American ideals and the easy manipulation of the American populace.

There are clips of news reporters in this thing that should cause any decent news reporter with a hint of integrity to resign for their terrible reporting and regurgitation of blatant lies.

There are Democratic politicians (Rep. Waxman and Davis - and Obama for trying to give Gen. McChrystal yet another job) that should hide their heads in shame for their lack of investigation when they had the opportunity.

There are craven Republicans who used this poor man and all essence of him for their most disgusting of all political purposes.

There are military people who tried to take the easy way out and then later covered up all aspects of this terrible tragedy, when very, very early on they knew it was friendly fire that killed Pat Tillman.

Then there is the American people who simply are fantastically complacent in their belief of every piece of bullshit information they take in. From the fake pageantry of the American media, to simply not wanting to do the homework necessary to find the truth.

What our country did to this man and his family is unforgivable and no one really has ever paid for the lies that were peddled during this man's life and death.

The more that is learned about Pat Tillman, the more it is realized he was the type of American that we are told most Americans dream about becoming. He really was the epitome of what red, white and blue is SUPPOSED to be about. Truth, justice, integrity, honor, bravery - and look where it got him and his family.

And in the end, this country actually took a legitimate hero and not only pissed on him and his family, but also shat on them as well.

As a parent watching this documentary, I was again reminded of DB's quote on his Triage cd about certain others and the hope that there really is a vengeful God.....and I hope if there is such a thing, then Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, many high ranking military people and others do meet such a God......
