Peter, I agree with you about the origin of a lot of the debt, but partisan politics and finger pointing aren't going to solve this problem. Look at the corner that Boehner has painted himself in to. We need elected leaders who can remember that they were elected to govern and not to play political dodgeball.Having said that, is anyone familiar with nolabels.org? They've got a lot of good things to say, but it's difficult to imagine the DC rank and file buying in to this concept, even on something as critical to our country as our debt.
