This is a recently published trilogy of three of Woodrell's early novels (Under The Bright Lights, Muscle for the Wing and The Ones You Do). This is the same man who wrote the book Winter's Bone. I can't recommend this writer enough. I simply can't figure out how this guy is not known by every fan of great Southern writing - or great writing period. The opening to Muscle for the Wing is unbelievable in style and descriptive ability.Give him a chance. You won't be disappointed.
