Actually I am being quite naïve. I know it. You sure know it. & it shames me amongst a higher consciousness. BUT STILL, the wrench remains. & I can’t make myself laugh about it, Reg. Maybe that’s dangerous. Maybe I shouldn’t aughta be ..cleaning my gun ..while thinking these thoughts. Maybe I aughta be listenin to m’ old vinyl LPs by Richard Pryor & Steve Martin, just letting the 20th Century comic & his playful bits, ersatz insincerities, true-to-life ironies, & the subdued sunshine of this blessed afternoon (that we’re lucky even to partake in with some level of free will in the 21st Century) permeate me completely for a while, take me away to a better place where if I ..well, you know the lyric
