Was a Friday or Saturday night ..about a month or so ago, someone from Tribe DBIS posted Avett Bros videos on an alternative forum (not the dbis, nope, but an okay tributary) &, just so happened, it hit the spot, fit our night here completely, just what the proctor ordered! I figure these cats are a fine amalgamation of all that music has had to offer in the last few decades. Like if DB were to get the hankerin again and toss his hat into the crowd one more time---that total-emersion progressive consolidation of all the branches of the Frequency Modulation tree from blue(s on)grass to folk (& ass) to the gravely & lowdown beer joint spoils to cabaret w/bar & chain oil, all that & most everything else ..excluding soulless, gutless, meaningless, mega-corporate Frank N. Stein of any kind ..to bubblegum to schlock & lollipop lip-synch. (..Maybe a li’l schlock.)

For the dbis I sho woulda liked to post a live performance vid---but, as is often the case with ballads these daze, the b’damnable rude audience prevails (another 21st Century socio-illogical pity) …
