Like most of us on here do, I’m sure, I love putting together compilations with themes... They’ve progressed slightly from vinyl-to-cassette, but that’s progress I guess. I’m busy with a project I’ve called, cheesily enough, ‘Sprog Rock’. It includes, yup, the offspring of established muso’s. The rules I set myself are they have to have recorded the song I use in the last few years and preferably not have been recording for years and years, so, for example, I’ve left off Julian Lennon. I have included Jakob Dylan because I think his two recent solo albums are just so bloody good.So far, I have chosen tracks by the following people. My question is can anyone think of any glaring exceptions? I must have forgotten many I’m sure. I don’t have much in the way of female voices either. And no, Miley Cyrus does not make the cut.Albert Hammond Jr, A.J. Croce, Ben Taylor, Crosby Loggins, Harper Simon, Jakob Dylan, Jesse Clegg, Jordan Zevon, Justin Townes Earle, Liam Finn, Ziggy Marley (Might leave this off though) and Dan Kelly (I know he is Paul’s nephew but I still think he qualifies)Any takers ladies and gents?
