From puking my guts out, to an overwhelming sadness, to an anger that's been rising slowly ever since the repeal of Glass-steagall--the only lid we had on the profligacy of big banks which are now but hadn't been since 1933 investment banks/insurance companies/commercial banks--the cows are now coming home to shit all over us.Thank God for journalists such as Taibbi. But will his new book do any good? I think the causal-power of our current economic dilemma is so lodged in concrete, it'll take a bomb or two to extract them-it.This horrible partnership between America's business heads and Arab oil magnates bites us in the ass every time we turn around. We can thank it for high interest rates on credit cards, high gas prices, and now the worst recession in 80 years.Feel manipulated, anyone?
