While I join with you in lamenting the loss of a favored publication, at the same time, I'm not at all convinced that good music is hard to find these days. You just have to be willing to pop through a bunch of youtube videos or google search for your favorite bands & then look to see what current musicians list them as among their "influences."I do deplore the apparent loss of "serendipity" that is brought on by a highly indexed computer system, but I also think that the occasional serendipitous discovery is quite possible now--maybe even more possible.NotLame.com is a pretty cool website if you're into the melodic side of things, though I must say I don't care for their all-too-hyperbolic "reviews" of just about anything they have in stock.
