I vividly recall reading this Rolling Stone review of Born To Run all those years ago. The
writing, by the brilliant Greil Marcus, is as good as rock criticism gets. It inspired me to get
in the car last night, roll down the windows (okay, I pressed a button), and play Backstreets
and Jungleland at "11" for my teenage daughter. She's just about the age I was when Born
To Run was released. Ally has been raised on a fair amount of early-era Springsteen and
already knew the lyrics by heart. The experience of sharing these magnificent mini-operas
with her meant a lot to me. Can't wait for our next trip with Badlands and Promised Land.Peter T.http://www.ericenders.com/greilmarcus.htm
