Short of execution, these greedy bastards, oil or Wall Street barons, should at the very least, lose everything they have when a fuck-up of the proportions we've seen recently occur, and accountability according to terms of needed new legislation is obtained.Unfortunately, that needed new legislation will come only from members of a Congress who haven't been there long enough to be beholden to its current owners.Part of that legislation needs to put teeth into any punishment given to so-called federal regulators who do not their jobs, most of whom were asleep at safety switches in both instances. In the case of oil regulators, no doubt, from fairy dust sprinkled as a result of Cheney's meeting with oil's CEO's early on in the Bush administration. The public deserves to see the minutes of those meetings.I can't share the guilt, Reg, of either Wall Street, just because I use money, or of the oil mishap, just because I use oil products. If I paid my gas station attendant with 'malfeasant-causing' money, then maybe I would.
