There are also those here in Ohio (like me) that are PO'd at Voinovich for standing in its' (tax cut) way in the first place. In general, he's pretty well liked by conservatives, but you're right, he's made compromises along the way. Every good politician does.
As a centrist conservative, I tend to agree that Jerry stands a reasonable chance against GV. He doesn't strike me as an off the wall nut job the way Dennis Kucinich does. If dems want the presidency, take that guy out back to the woodshed ASAP. He'll only hurt your cause. I'd say most Ohioans (that I know anyway) are embarrassed of him. Even Jerry's rep is better.
