Don't be. As long as they have a voice and a place to vent, they won't be a very serious political threat. It's if they would feel they're being driven underground or suppressed that fringe elements would become more dangerous. They've got as much right to their opinions as does anyone else. The more light that's shined on those opinions, the less appeal they will likely hold.

The Tea Party group opposes what they see as too much Federal influence in their lives. If the health care initiative is botched, they'll gain some converts. There's a lot riding on the Democrats' ability to effectively implement the changes. If they don't, they'll deserve the political trouncing they'll get. However, if people perceive some improvements by 2014 or so, the Tea Party group will be further marginalized.

Also, "Tea Baggers" might be pretty funny, but it's not clever, and the dismissive tone it carries just makes them more set in their ways. Why feed the fire?
