I reflect sometimes too much upon aging, and the fleeting experience we call life. Might have something to do with being in my late 50's, and hearing that clock tick just a little bit louder each day. Well, I was thinking about the age of our WWII,Korean and VN vets, when I recalled there was one Veteran living close to here, who is the ONLY surviving WWI Vet in this country; Frank Buckles. He fudged his birthdate, and entered the Army at age 16. Still alive and relatively well at the age of 109. He gets his health care at my VA Hospital. I hope I can get to shake his hand, if time and circumstance will allow.
