curious to know what you don't care for with 'the player' because i love that film, esp. compared to such films as mccabe & mrs miller and nashville, both of which i own but neither of which really work for me... is it too stylized for you?? incidentally, what thought you of 'a prairie home companion''? i was very impressed by that film...as for rope, that's a great little set piece, shot entirely, i believe, in the one room... recently re-visited psycho and that's surely up there with the shining as one of the greatest 'horror' films ever made...
