He'd have us believe that a higher percentage of people are poor than in the Great Depression? Than in the 1800's during settlement days? While I won't say that it's impossible for the apocalyptic scenario to play out, I would say that his premise is seriously flawed. If the federal government wants to discourage armed groups, it needs to foster the feeling that what taxes are taken are used wisely. The feeling that thy are not is what drives anti-government behavior. I do think that not enough can be reasonably cut to fill the fiscal hole. The richer portion of country (perhaps even the richer 30% or so) are going to eventually see a tax increase.
