Greetings:

It was at this time last year when I first posted about the intrigue surrounding the John Carpenter film THEY LIVE --- which at one point, was selling on AMAZON for as much as $500 a copy! (I have a saved copy of the web page for proof of this).

After several interesting conversations on this matter, I contacted Mr. Carpenter's agent at the William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills, California --- to request an opportunity to interview Mr. Carpenter about his "non-fiction documentary THEY LIVE." To my great surprise and delight --- I received a phone call from Mr. Carpenter's personal assistant, a really nice lady named Gina. She asked me to fax my list of questions, to which Mr. Carpenter approved, and granted the interview with me.

I was concerned that there was an issue of CENSORSHIP surrounding the film. His response was that UNIVERSAL did not believe the film to be profitable enough to be re-released in the USA as a SPECIAL EDITION DVD, as has been done in at least two European countries --- the UK and Germany (where THEY LIVE is known as SIE LEBEN).

Even more intriguing is the fact that Mr. Carpenter STILL names THEY LIVE as his most favorite of all the films he has made over the years. Still, I find it odd --- if not downright peculiar --- that a film director who has had a successful career that has spanned nearly thirty years --- doesn't have enough clout in Hollywood to see his most favorite of films released in his native country, as a SPECIAL EDITION DVD.

My statement last summer was this:

"As long as the current group is in power in Washinton, DC --- THEY LIVE will not be available in the USA, on DVD nor on any other format (VHS)."

I received several responses, saying that it was being released in GERMANY and in the UK as a SPECIAL EDITION DVD. I replied to each of these saying --- "Yes, but NEVER in the USA on SPECIAL EDITION DVD."

People thought one of two things --- that I was joking, or was a joker.

Recently, I received a copy of the THEY LIVE SPECIAL EDITION DVD from the website AMAZON.CO.UK, where it was released in that format on October 21, 2002 --- approximately nine months ago. Still, there has been no such news on an USA release date --- and no release is expected --- by those in the film industry, or by Mr. Carpenter himself.

I find this very strange --- especially seeing as how Mr. Carpenter has seen his films gross hundreds of millions of dollars in this country --- and yet, he doesn't have the clout to release this, his most-favorite film, on SPECIAL EDITION DVD.

Something just doen't jive here . . .

And then, I am sitting here, looking over the DVD's released, the original and the UK special edition, which just arrived late last week.

Here may be a clue --- and it's in the way both countries have chosen to describe this film on the DVD's back cover, where it is customary to print a short synopsis of the films' content.

First, the original USA THEY LIVE DVD, which was released in October of 2000:

"They influence our decisions without us knowing it. They numb our senses without us feeling it. They control our lives without us realizing it. They Live.

Horror-master John Carpenter (Halloween, The Thing) directs this action-packed sci-fi thriller about one man's battle against aliens who are systematically gaining control of the earth. Rugged Roddy Piper stars as the loner who stumbles upon a terrifying discovery: ghoulish creatures are masquerading as humans while they lull the public into submission through subliminal advertsing messages. Only speially made sunglasses make the deadly truth visable."

And now, the blurb on the back panel of the THEY LIVE UK SPECIAL EDITION DVD (which is four minutes shorter than the original film, by the way):

"WHO ARE THEY . . . AND WHAT DO THEY WANT?

It is the near future and society is crumbling, John Nada is a struggling labourer who drifts into town and makes a deadly discovery --- society has been invaded by aliens from another dimension who are controlling the earth through MIND CONTROL. Armed with only a submachine gun and a pair of special sunglasses, can Nada infiltrate the aliens' transmitting station and reveal their true forms?" (Emphasis above is mine)

As you can see, when you read the above --- the side of the story that OUR USA CONTROLLERS do not want us to know about is the part about MIND CONTROL. Incidentally, MIND CONTROL is very conspiciously missing in the encyclopedic OXFORD COMPANION TO THE MIND --- a college-level textbook published by Oxford Univerity Press, and a 856 page book that sits on many psychologists' reference shelves.

I find it rather peculiar that a book that contains such an in- depth presentation of the mind and its' functions --- is conspiciously silent on the subject of MIND CONTOL, which officially became public knowledge during the Congressional MK-ULTRA public hearings held in 1977.

But, I digress. Back to THEY LIVE . . .

One other thing that strikes me as rather odd --- is the fact that the UK version of THEY LIVE is four minutes shorter than the original cut of the film. I have not yet had the time to see what exactly has been excised from the film --- but it is on my list of things to do.

Travel onward to VIDEOETA.COM and you will find that THEY LIVE is not among the list of the films to be released on DVD in the foreseeable future. THIS IS BECAUSE THEY LIVE WILL NOT BE RELEASED IN THE USA EVER AGAIN! This has been confirmed with me by the director of the film himself.

Now, if ALL this film is, is a jokey sci-fi flick, then why wouldn't it be released here --- during our period of HIGH PROPAGANDA here in the USA?

The main reason why I needed to have a copy of the UK edition of THEY LIVE, was for the DIRECTOR'S COMMENTARY TRACK, which was done by JOHN CARPENTER and RODDY PIPER. With the commentary recorded just three months after 9/11, on December 5, 2001 --- I hoped it would provide some interesting statements --- which it did.

John Carpenter begins by saying:

"Basically, what our spin on the story was that all the aliens are members of the upper class, the rich [wealthy], and they are slowly exploiting the middle class, and everyone is becomming poorer."

KDB --- Gee, that is EXACTLY what is happening in our world today, only fifteen years after this film was made --- which was about the USA a few years down the road! Coincidence?

Carpenter continues:

"Everything we think about buying; cars, and having pools, and condos, and all the things that everyone strives for in America, basically are created by this race of inhuman creatures that really just want to exploit us like a third-world [country], hence, told from the view of the homeless."

KDB --- A few months ago, during the Wednesday night classes that I have been holding, I made the statement that once the true level of the USA debt is made public, and once HYPERINFLATION kicks in and devalues the USA greenback by as much as 98% --- we are going to see multiple families living under the same roof.

I made this statement because of what I had seen in the DOT.COM STOCK-MARKET BUST --- and since I have made that statement, this is what has already happened --- the BU$H administration has withheld an internal governmental report that states the TRUE LEVEL of USA DEBT is FORTY-FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS. If you have trouble imagining this amount of money, think of it this way --- a small town filled with people, every one of them --- men, women, and children --- each one as wealthy as BILL GATES.

This additional money has seemingly DISAPPEARED . . . and remains UNACCOUNTED FOR . . . and the bodies responsible for this mess ALL REFUSE A TRULY INDEPENDENT REVIEW OF THEIR ACCOUNTING BOOKS!!!

The Narrator then says:

"The heroes in THEY LIVE must overcome a race of sinister aliens, who use human beings as a NATURAL RESOURCE."

KDB --- Interesting, this is the same exact theme of a little film called THE MATRIX!

Meg Foster, the actress who plays HOLLY THOMPSON, says:

"It has a great metaphor for what's happening now within the country. I mean, now with the homeless, with the economy being what it is --- the rich having, the poor having not."

KDB --- Figures released earlier this year by the banking industry claim that ONE OUT OF TEN people cannot make regular home mortgage payments, and ONE OUT OF TWENTY have stopped paying altoogether --- meaning a 5% DEFAULT RATE on home mortgages --- country-wide.

Hearing that made me all the more happy that I was able to avoid that MONEY-PIT for myself, it being perhaps the smartest thing I have ever done in my life.

Roddy Piper adds this interesting comment:

"This movie is VERY REAL to me."

KDB --- While no one would ever go to a theatre to see a literal representation of how they are being screwed in every- day life --- the director most often chooses to use METAPHOR and ALLEGORY as tools to put the THEME OF THE MOVIE across to the audience.

THEY LIVE is a perfect example of how Hollywood forces a director to work in symbolic truth only, lest the films' audience goes running from the audience, from the shock of TOO MUCH TRUTH.

Another film that has used this same tact, is THE MATRIX. While human beings do not reside within pods and are fed through tubes --- it is perfect ALLEGORY for what the human mind has become because of MIND CONTROL.

In THEY LIVE, the MIND CONTROL is pumped out through the TV --- closely resembling a true-life experiment that happened in the early 1960's --- which is historically known as THE BRUNSWICK AFFAIR. (A 1978 Canadian film spelled it as BRONSWICK.) This is where people had THOUGHT-CONTROL pumped out through their TV sets during programming, and people who had no pets started purchasing and hoarding cases of DOG AND CAT FOOD to feed a non-existant pet.

From the early 1960's until now --- are you sure that you can honestly say that they have not perfected the Brunswick experiments? Are you REALLY sure?!?!?!?

THEY LIVE is based upon two different ideas --- both of which, I have taken the time to purchase and add to my burgeoning reference library. First, THEY LIVE is based upon Ray Nelson's short story EIGHT O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING. Second, it is based upon the comic book story NADA which appeared in an April 1986 comic called ALIEN ENCOUNTERS # 6.

When I found out about ALIEN ENCOUNTERS # 6, I looked up comic book dealers on GOOGLE --- I was directed by my Seneca Indian Spirit Guide RANDY TWO-WATERS to contact one and only one dealer from that list --- ATOMIC COMICS in Mesa, Arizona. I sent them an e-mail, and was phoned back by a gentleman who informed me that they had just gotten a copy of that very edition the day before I sent the e-mail!

Intuition works, people!

A couple of days later --- I had a copy in hand, and printed up a bound presentation copy of the NADA story and the cover of the comic book --- and sent it directly to Mr. Carpenter's office. The reason why I sent it, was because he told me he wished he still had a copy of the comic book, which he had lost along the years.

This now resides in the STORM KING production offices in Burbank, California.

Mr. Carpenter also described THEY LIVE to me as "a political satire of the Ronald Reagan era, Reaganomics, and the corporate culture of the '80's." He also added that "the aliens in THEY LIVE are essentially Republicans."

So, with him mentioning that THEY LIVE was a representation of the wealthy elite who have been corrupted by aliens from outside our world --- I pointed out to him that this paralleled what DAVID ICKE was writing about --- specifically mentioning THEY LIVE in his book CHILDREN OF THE MATRIX. It is also important to note that CHILDREN OF THE MATRIX was the very first book that was ever written about THE MATRIX film, published a mere four months after the release of the film to theatres.

So, what is the true story of why this film REMAINS UNAVAILABLE TO A NATION THAT IS CURRENTLY BEING SUBJECTED TO UNPRECDENTED MIND-CONTROL IN THE FORM AND SUBSTANCE OF THE BU$H II PRESIDENCY?

What I do know is that this matter explores themes that have also been explored in other films --- such as A CLOCKWORK ORANGE and EYES WIDE SHUT --- just to name two. These matters are quite a bit to ponder --- as we perhaps not so coincidentally find ourselves being lied to on unprecedented levels, as our nation sputters and spurts the first of its' death throes . . .

. . . we find that this film might be perhaps TOO MUCH TRUTH AND CONTRARY INFORMATION to be absorbed at such time as the people of this country find themselves hopelessly lost in Alice's own Wonderland . . .

. . . and it just might be more believable to just say that the film was UNPROFITABLE --- even as it is released on SPECIAL- EDITION DVD to countries outside the UNITED STATES.

Therefore, it remains my conclusion --- one year later --- that the THEY LIVE INCIDENT continues to intrigue and confound.

Perhaps my words and ideas will become nullified by the eventual THEY LIVE SPECIAL EDITION DVD --- here in the USA.

But --- I wouldn't want to be the one left holding his breath, waiting for THAT to happen!
