Dale, Go back and re-read my post. Not once did I question the honor, integrity or courage of these soldiers. I have the greatest respect and admiration for soldiers. It's the politicians who manage these conflicts in terrible ways that I can't stand. It is common knowledge that Rumsfeld avoided sending an overwhelming number of troops over there when it was learned we might have underestimated the resolve of the Iraqis. And why did he do this? Because his petty ego didn't want to appear to be wrong! What bullshit! My largest outrage is how our goverment is so willing to sacrifice our soldiers for political bullshit. And Shrub et al should be ashamed of themselves. And in fair turn, I am outraged that anyone would think it is a soliders "JOB" to needlessly die. That is crap. Think of it. It is our governments responsibility to guarantee all of us that it will not sacrifice our citizens for things it does not have to do. In my opinion, with what is known right now, the current adminstration has clearly violated this responsibilty by feeding the American people a steady diet of fabricated and misstated propaganda. But to me, the saddest thing of all is that our government does not appreciate how many young patriots we have who are willing to sacrifice so readily on its "word." Maybe if Shrub and Cheney had truly served this country, they would understand things like this.
